Tampa Cruis-A-Cade Club (TCCC), established in 1954, is a 501(c) 7 recreational boat club. The club is located on the beautiful Hillsborough River with access to to Tampa Bay. First started by a group of ten families, the property was deeded to TCCC by Mayor Nuccio with the provision that the club would improve the land, build a dock and ramps and a social club on the property. This small group of boating enthusiasts cleared the property, filled in the land, built docks, constructed a clubhouse and promoted the club for membership throughout the community. Today, the club is comprised of over 60 families that gather monthly for fun cruises, dinner and learn experiences on boating safety, and the promotion of various water recreation activities. With a focus on a public purpose, TCCC is also serves the community with participation and support of local non-profits.
Mission Statement
The purpose of the Tampa Cruis-A-Cade Club shall be to promote family cruising and to serve the interest of the outboard motor and motor boat owners, to defend such owners against discriminatory legislation and unjust taxation, to prevent the pollution of all recreational waters, to stimulate a greater interest in boating, to develop a fraternal spirit among local outdoor enthusiasts, to own or lease property for Club uses, to develop boat storage and dock facilities, and to all other things which might contribute to the welfare and pleasure of owners of boat and boat equipment. It shall be the further purpose of the Tampa Cruis-A-Cade Club, whenever possible, to initiate, promote and assist other local organizations in civic undertakings calculated to add to the material and social welfare of the City of Tampa, Florida and to its reputation as a pleasure resort, a recreational center, and a community of alert progressive citizens.
